Travel Product Recommendations

I want families to feel more comfortable getting out with their kids, so I will be linking some of my favorite travel products below with some explanation as to how we have used them.

Everything linked, I own personally and recommend.

They are #affiliatemarketing links, and I do earn a small percentage if you use my link to buy the product, and any support is appreciated.

Light Weight foldable travel stroller

We use this travel stroller when traveling near or far, and if flying with it, we gate check it in a bag to keep it clean.

Why we love it:

  • 1 hand fold.

  • weighs only 14 pounds

  • suitable for toddlers up to 40# with 5 point harness

  • compatible with most infant car seats to make a “travel system” without an adapter

  • Recline position for naps on the go

Toddler hiking pack

This is an expensive item, but 100% worth it if you spend a good amount of time outside.

We have the Deuter kid comfort plus. When deciding, we were between this and the Osprey Poco. The Osprey has more storage capacity, but the Deuter was rated higher for comfort, which won in my book.

We have brought this instead of a stroller on multiple adventures, including Iceland and Scotland. We just gate check it through the airport like a stroller.

travel car seat

Convertible, light weight car seat that can be used rear-facing or front facing.

Weighs only 10 lbs, and is 1 simple piece, which makes it great for travel. It can be installed with a regular seat belt as long as it locks (see more below)

It is FAA approved and can be used on the flight

It can easily be carried through the airport, and used at your destination as well.

We usually end up gate checking instead of taking it on the plane, but that is just our daughter’s preference. It is safest to buy your child a seat on the plane and use a car seat.
